Teaching Philosophy
I believe art education should help students create, analyze, respond, and present while developing creativity, visual literacy, technical skills, cultural awareness, and confidence. Through drawing, painting, sculpture, art history, writing, critique, and portfolio development, students learn to communicate ideas and better understand themselves and the world around them. My goal is for students to see themselves as capable artists, thoughtful viewers, and creative thinkers who can use art for learning, reflection, collaboration, and positive change.
